The Cheese Cottage is a family owned and operated business. Skip Moss and his two daughters, Melissa Moening and Melody Waltermire, wanted Northwest Ohio to have a shop with a variety of cheeses that you would have to travel to a big city to find. The family is from Lafayette, Ohio, and were blessed with the opportunity to start their dream of owning their own business not far from the small town.
They started with the idea of Imported and Amish cheese and added jams, coffees, chocolates, deli meats, and many other items. A majority of the products at The Cheese Cottage comes from Holmes County in Ohio. The family is excited for people to enjoy what they have to offer and welcome any suggestions.
